Echo had 5
pups on 15 August 2007 The pups arrived
on schedule and the
proud parents have all entered them in NAVHDA Natural Ability Tests
where all 5 qualified with a Prize I. Jaegerbakkens Kennel received the SMCNA Breeder's
Award for this great litter. Echo had her 4th litter of 6 puppies on 5 May 2009 This litter is featured on web TV
www.myoutdoortv.com/hunting/bird-dogs-afield.html. Click here to see some of our puppy photos! The Small Munsterlanders bred by Jaegerbakkens Kennel are approved by the Small Munsterlander Club of North America (SMCNA) and meet all breeding requirements. SMCNA
Breeding Requirements In an effort to maintain the integrity of the breed and its inherent hunting abilities the Small Munsterlander Club of North America has developed breeding recommendations that should be followed. These recommendations are based on the European requirements for breeding, they are not onerous, they are based in basic common sense and on the knowledge of genetics.

Echo's PennHIP evaluation showed that she has extremely tight hips in the 90th percentile for the breed. Her distraction index was 0.27/0.32. |
Appi is now deceased but he lives on in our hearts. His genes are carried forward through Linus. Appi received the SMCNA Sire Award for the litter he sired with DeJong's Hetze Abigail Dakota in May of 2000. Appi is also the first dog to finish in the Top 6 for 3 consecutive years at the SMCNA bird hunting championship. |
